Ten Plus

I remember talking to my pastor about wanting to make art my career. I was frustrated back then, wondering why I wasn’t hitting my goals as quickly as I imagined. He listened, smiled, and said, “Ten years is the beginning.”

I didn’t get it at the time.

But looking back, I realize he meant that a decade is how long it takes to truly understand what you love, how committed you are, and how far you’re willing to push for it. Ten years isn’t the finish line, it’s the point where your real journey begins
